Granite Gold is a 10 year protection plan that covers accidental damage that we sometimes refer to as customer abuse such as:

-Food and Beverage Stains

-Cosmetic Stains

-Oil Stains

-Rust Stains

-Human & Pet Waste

-Etching

-Hard Water Marks & Deposits

-Caulking

-Seams

-Chips

-Pitting

-Grout Expansions

Granite Gold can be sold on Granite, Quartz, Limestone, Marble, Slate, Soapstone, Travertine, or Solid Surface countertops and can be added to the customer’s job anytime up until the time of install. It cannot be added after installation. Dekton or other Ultra Compact, Sintered, or Porcelain products are NOT covered. Thinscape is also not covered.

One plan covers up to $20,000 of countertops (retail sales price).

The Retail Price is $499

At Home Depot we will transact this under Custom using the Custom Cost Multiplier

The policy is not transferable after it has been registered to the home owner. If the home owner sells the home, it would not transfer to the new home owner. If we are doing the job for a contractor or someone who is remodeling to sell the home, we can wait to register the warranty in the name of the permanent home owner but after that, it would not be transferable.

Granite Gold is not available on Rentals or Commercial Jobs.

This plan compliments the Chip Minimizer and the Enhanced Sealer. The Chip Minimizer prevents chips from happening. The Enhanced Sealer helps prevents stains and customers will still need to seal their countertops. The Warranty will cover the repairs of any chips, scratches, stains etc. but it’s a repair only warranty which means the customer will still need to take time off
work, etc.

Granite Gold will also send the customer Care and Maintenance information.
