Template & Installation

Being an informed customer is an important part of the countertop process. Take a look here at a few things you should know before you start your project.

This serves as a reference to the expectations signed at time of template.

Please contact your project coordinator if you have further questions!

Templating

What is templating? Templating is the precise measurement of your job. During this process, one of our templators (measure technician) will use state of the art digital equipment to take a final measurement for your countertops.

STEP 1 | PREPARATIONS

It is extremely important that the following has been accomplished before the template:

All cabinets are completely and permanently installed (including all end panels and fillers) and are perfectly level. If anything changes with your cabinets after we template, please call us
immediately. We will need to come back out to make a new template and we may need to charge a trip charge. However, if we have already cut out your countertops when you alert us of the change, the charges to make changes at that point will be much more substantial.
All appliances and fixtures (sinks, faucets, soap dispensers, air gaps, hot/cold water filters, cooktops, ranges, refrigerator, etc.) are on site. All Farm Sinks (apron front) need to be installed centered in the sink cabinet and flush with the top of the cabinets.
Your material, color, and edge profile have been selected.

STEP 2 | SCHEDULING APPOINTMENT

After you have paid for your countertops and the office has processed your payment, your Project Coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Templating Appointment.
Please make sure all of STEP 1 is completed before you make your appointment and make sure that there will be a decision maker over the age of 18 is present for the entire template process to answer questions and make final decisions for your countertops.

STEP 3 | DAY OF TEMPLATE

You should receive your templating appointment time a day or two before the appointment date.

If you have any concerns about the time, please call your Project Coordinator!

Your templator will get in contact with you 30 minutes before arrival.

Before your templator reaches your location, please clear off your countertops (if applicable).

Please make sure to keep an eye out for a message from your templator to let them into your job site.

Please remember that a decision maker over the age of 18 MUST be on site the entire time the templating process is being done.

The template process can take as little as 30 minutes for a small job or 2-3 hours for a large job.

FROM TEMPLATE TO INSTALLATION THE TURNAROUND TIME IS APPROXIMATELY 3 WEEKS.
