So you’ve heard how low-maintenance quartz countertops are and you wipe your beautiful counter with soap and water diligently every night, but you feel you need a deeper clean every once in a while. Which cleaning products are safe to use? Usually cleaning products with pH levels between 6 and 8 are safe to use on quartz countertops including:
- Simple Green
- 10x Stone Polish
- Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean
- Denatured alcohol
- Hopes Surface cleaner
- Rock Doctor cleaner
After using any of the above products, we recommend wiping the surface with a soft cloth and warm soapy water to remove any excess.
Chemicals that ARE NOT SAFE to use on your quartz countertops include:
- Oven cleaners
- Comet®
- Soft Scrub®
- SOS®
- Paint remover
- Oil soaps
- Silver cleaners
- Drain products
If your quartz countertop ever accidentally comes in contact with any of these products, immediately wipe off the chemical and rinse thoroughly with soap and water.
